Jade ab Palma de Mallorca

[:de]Die Jade lag im Hafen von Palma. Wir waren auf der Sonneninsel Mallorca und zur Abwechslung zum Inselurlaub hatten wir uns für eine Kreuzfahrt ab Palma mit der Norwegian Jade entschieden. Unsere erste Fahrt mit NCL. Freude pur!

Wie man vom Flughafen Palma zur NCL Jade im Hafen kommt

Ich war unheimlich gespannt auf das Freestyle Cruising. Los ging es ab Palma Hafen. Den Hafen in Palma erreicht man entweder mit dem angebotenen Shuttle ab dem Flughafen, per Taxi oder aber auch ganz einfach mit dem öffentlichen Nahverkehr. Vom Flughafen Palma fährt der Flughafenbus (Linie 1- Aeropuerto) für 3,- € p.P. zum Plaça d’Espanya in Palma, dort kann man aussteigen und bummeln, oder man fährt direkt durch zum Hafen. Einfach im Bus bleiben. Die Station zum Aussteigen heißt: Port de Palma (Estació Marítima) (etwa 13 Haltestellen vom Plaça d’Espanya)

Im Hafen von Palma de Mallorca begrüßte uns in der Muelle Poinente Süd die Jade mit ihrem blau grün bemalten Bug und wir gingen erwartungsfroh zu sechst an Bord. Eine Aida lag auch im Hafen. Gebucht hatten wir drei Balkonkabinen.

Willkommen an Bord der NCL Jade- Auf Wiedersehen Palma

An Bord haben wir uns erst einmal mit den Besonderheiten von NCL vertraut gemacht. Im Freestyle Cruising gibt es keine festen Tischzeiten und wir mussten auch keinen Tisch reservieren. Es gab 11 Restaurants an Bord, davon 4 ohne Aufpreis. Zu den 4 ohne Aufpreis gehörten das Grand Pacific Restaurant (Deck 7), das Alizar Restaurant (Deck 6), das Garden Café (Deck 12) und das Blue Lagoon Cafe (24 h, Deck 8). Das Grand Pacific und das Alizar waren a la Carte Restaurants und das Garden Cafe beherbergte das Buffet. Man konnte die Belegungen der Restaurants auf Monitoren verfolgen und bekam einen Pager, falls es mal keinen Platz gab, der einem durch Blinken Bescheid sagte, wenn etwas frei war. Wir waren skeptisch, ob uns das gefällt und wie das mit 6 Personen wohl klappen würde. Aber wir fanden die Idee auch super, nicht an feste Zeiten gebunden zu sein. Ich nehme es hier direkt vorweg. Es hat super geklappt! Maximal haben wir 20 Minuten gewartet, hatten immer einen Tisch für uns 6 allein und oft sogar den gleichen. Perfekt!

How to get from Palma Airport to the NCL Jade

I was incredibly excited about the Freestyle Cruising. The Jade started from Palma Port. The port can be reached either with a shuttle from the airport, by taxi or else easily by public transport. From Palma airport the airport bus (line 1 Aeropuerto) for 3, – € per person to Placa d’Espanya in Palma, where you can get out and walk about, or you can go directly to the harbor. Just stay on the bus. The station to get off is: Port de Palma (Estació Marítima) (about 13 stops from Placa d’Espanya). In the port of Palma de Mallorca, the Jade greeted us at the Muelle Poinente South with its blue-green painted bug and full of expectation we six went aboard. A Aida was also in port. Welcome on board of the NCL Jade

With Freestyle Cruising there are no set meal times and we had no reservations or table. There were 11 restaurants on board, of which 4 were at no extra charge. Among the 4 at no extra charge were the Grand Pacific Restaurant (Deck 7), the Alizar Restaurant (Deck 6), the Garden Café (Deck 12) and the Blue Lagoon Cafe (24 h, Deck 8). The Grand Pacific and the Alizar were a la carte and the Garden Cafe hosted the buffet. You could track the assignments of the restaurants on monitors and if all seats were taken, you got a pager, which notified you by flashing if anything was available. We were skeptical, whether we would like it and how it would work out with 6 people. But we also found the idea great, not to be bound to fixed hours. I tell you here directly: It worked great! The maximum time we had to wait was 20 minutes and we always had a table for just the six of us, and often the same table. Perfect! Here we go!
